Easternbulk Lime Products Private Limited (ELPPL) has set up and commissioned its first lime kiln in July 2019. This project is located in south of India in Tuticorin, Tamil Nadu. ELPPL is a joint venture between Easternbulk Trading and Shipping Private Limited and Chememan Public Company Limited in Thailand. This is the first of the two E2 150tpd kilns in India which are supported from Chememan Public Company Limited, Thailand. The plant is located in the SIPCOT (State Industries Promotion Corporation) industrial region of Tuticorin.
This E2 Maerz 2-shaft lime kiln is coal fired and has a capacity of 150tpd. Maerz supplied engineering and key equipment. With Maerz technical assistance and with the assistance of Chememan's personnel, the lime kiln has been successfully commissioned and ignited in June 2019 and is now in commercial operation. Easternbulk Trading and Shipping Private Limited is a strategic partner who's role is to source high quality raw material and operate the plant.
asternbulk Lime Product's Quicklime (calcium oxide -CaO ) is produced by the calcination of high purity limestone in modern lime kilns. It is low in impurities and possesses a high degree of reactivity making it suitable for use in chemical processes of many Industrial applications.
Limestone of size 0-40mm is currently produced at the plant. Plans are underway to produce Limestone power to cater requirements of customers.
ELPPL's consisant quality Quick lime is a back bone for making high quality Hydrated Lime. Plans are under progress to cater to the customers who require Hydrated lime.At present hydation is done as a job work for specific cutomers.
Quick lime is used as Flux to impurities like Silica, Phosporous during refining of Iron. As flux and hot metal desulphurization in steel mills and to increase converter lining life.
Quick lime is used to produce white Liquor (Majorly NaOH) and to make Precipitated Calcium Carbonate, which is used as filler in Paper Production.
Quick lime is hydrated using water to produce Hydrated lime, which has several applications in chemicals industry, water and wastewater treatment applications.
Quick Line is used Soda Ash production units cater detergency etc.
Quick Lime is used to adjust of pH of Sugar syrup.
Quick Lime is used in beneficiation plant to adjust the metal slurry pH to improve the recovery of metal.
Primary clarification/ Neutralization of acid effluent/ Secondary sludge treatment
Its used in Tanning industry as a cleaning agent.
Stabilization of soil for road building. To avoid seepage of water on the roads.
Quicklime is used to control the PH value of soil and increase the crop yield.
Hard burnt lime is used as binding agent for making AAC block in place of red clay bricks in construction.
Quicklime is a key element and is used as dehydration and de-chlorination agent.
